A Dry Spell..

I've neglected this for quite some time, but c'est la vie.

Things in "the biz", as my sister says, are quite slow as of late. There are literally no calls for SFX Makeup Artists, which is aggravating. There are a few everyday makeup gigs, but I dislike doing 'normal' makeup. For one, it bores me. And secondly, I'm not very good at it. I've specialized in SFX and that's my passion. I can do my own personal makeup in the morning.. but my makeup is fake eyebrows, huge lashes.. lavish and extravagent.

Oh well.

Post production on "Blackwater Farm" should be coming to an end very soon. I keep meaning to get in touch with the director, but I'm utterly lazy and moreso I'm swamped with real life problems.

I'm currently anticipating a huge move. Packing up my whole world and moving into an apartment I've never seen and into a town I've never been. It's quite exhilirating, though. For my career it's going to be a wonderful move. I'm going to be about an hour and twenty minutes outside of Manhattan and about fourty-five minutes out of Boston.

I'm keeping the location a secret for the time being because my boyfriend has psychotic ex-girlfriends. The last thing I need is to be stalked. Again.

Nonetheless, I'm hoping that by this summer things will pick up for me and I will no longer have to be working a 'normal' job. I'm becoming far too "snobby" (as a customer of mine told me) to do regular folk things. I don't feel right nor do I feel comfortable doing anything else but make-up.

And that's what I'm striving for.
And that is most definitely what I'll get.
